indigo by Clarks Women's Indigo By Clarks Charlie Zip Boot,Grey,7.5 M US Review

To give some context to my review: I'm 6'2', wear a size 12/12.5 B in US sizes, have 16.5" diameter calves but thin ankles, most of my height is in my legs.
I loved the shape of this boot because the shaft is really tall, hits about 3" below my leg(highest I have yet to find that is not an over the knee boot), and the area around the calves is not dramatically shaped. Most boots curve inwards at the top and are shaped to hug the calf. This doesn't work for me usually because of my height, instead of being flattering it makes my calves look cankley and chubby. Instead of being shaped inward at the top the boot has a small elastic band hidden by a leather triangle that causes the shaft to hug your leg instead of guessing the shape of the average woman's calf.

This boot fit perfectly around my calves. During the first day they felt tight(wearing thin boot tall socks) around my foot but fit perfectly as the leather stretched within the next day. On most people the foot bed will probably fit better as my foot is slightly to large for that size, but the leather custom fit stretch allows me to wear a 12 when I'm more of a 12.5.

**As someone else mentioned earlier, the zipper does go to the bottom but is covered by the heel strap. You can unzip them all the way by gently pulling on the strap. **

Warning to Clarks fans. Indigo by Clarks fit more like Nine West shoes with less cushioning than normal Clarks.

Why Go To A Specialty Running Store For Running Shoes? by Natalie Rohwer - iSnare Ezine Articles

I remember my first pair of running shoes. I had read in the magazine article the way to prevent injury would have been to buy good running shoes, and that any good athletic shoes would cost between $90-$130. A light bulb went on. I could prevent injury and potentially be described as a better runner, all in a shoe? Off I went.

My first stop was a huge multi-sport center. I breezed past the canoes, golf equipment, treadmills, and in-line skates. Scanning the display wall of shoes, I searched for something expensive because I thought that meant it must be described as a better brand or an improved shoe. I naturally picked the shoe I thought looked the very best, with the best complimentary color scheme, something I could “match” with any kind of my “running outfits.”

Then I looked around, huffed and puffed, and all but threatened to blow along the display wall if I couldn’t find some good help. My help finally arrived. He originated from the tents and camping equipment section.

Was it a hideous experience? No, accomplishment hideous. Did I get help? Yes. The nice man went back to ascertain the shoe I chosen. Was there a problem here? I didn’t think so, but any knowledgeable running store employee might have told me otherwise. This whole scenario would have been a problem.

First coming from all, you don’t buy shoes {because of the|due
