I have had good luck with Clarks sandals so have ordered 2 different styles of boots looking for the perfect fit. I have a somewhat long, narrow foot and usually wear a 9 or 9.5. I tried the Ingalls Vicky boot, 9.5, and it was slightly too large with too much bunching leather around the ankle. So I ordered this boot in a size 9 and it was slightly too short. However, the fit around my foot and ankle is good and the boot would be comfortable if it were long enough. I don't think it is suited for a wide foot. My naked calf is around 15" around and I had no problem zipping the boot over my straight legged jeans. I like the look of the boot being taller on the outside of the leg. The leather is gorgeous and the boot looks sturdy and well built. It is quiet when walking. I toyed with keeping this boot and trying to stretch it since I have to pay return shipping, but decided to return it and ordered a half size larger. I hope the new size will be a perfect fit.
