This is a beautiful looking shoe that is extremely well made - just what you would expect from Clarks. I gave this shoe only 3 stars because is is not nearly as comfortable as all the other Clarks shoes I have in my closet. I chose this because of the slight heel ( more of a wedge actually) and wanted a "dressier" loafer. Since I teach and am on my feet all day - the shift of the weight of my body onto the ball of my foot gets uncomfortable. Walking is also a little strange in this shoe because there is a clomp when shifting from heel to toe-- unusual for a Clarks shoe.I have other shoes in the "sorta-wedge-sorta heel" category that are more comfortable. I think that Born shoes with a bit of a heel lift are more comfortable. I didn't return them because I will wear them when I will not be standingor walking for very long. I hope this review helps. If you decide to purchase, stand in them on a carpet for awhile before you wear them -- if the ball of your foot starts to ache, you may wan tot return them.
