Clarks Women's Wave.Trek Lace-Up,Black,9 D US Review

I got these in red in a 10M. They are a bit shorter (and less toe-box room) than most athletic shoes I buy in this size; you might have to size up if you are between sizes or your feet swell a lot. After seeing the same shoe on other sites, I was worried that it was going to be a bright, "fun" red, but it is more of a muted rusty red (classy) as shown here on Amazon; maybe a bit darker in person than the well-lit picture. They really are water and stain resistant. The style is trim and low profile, which makes them look neater/less chunky. My feet look smaller in these than many brands.

I have a low volume foot (skinny, small boned, long and slightly narrow) with a moderately high arch and find it difficult to find stiffer hiking-type shoes in a style that does not slip excessively behind my heel. These seem to run a little narrow, which is good for me, and do allow slight slipping in the back with regular athletic socks, but I can just get by in them with wool or light hiking socks. This really takes up space in the toes, though, making them quite snug.

It does not strike me as a serious day-hiker, but more of a light dirt-path/countryside or wet-weather shoe. I plan to use it for a trip to the UK and am pleasantly surprised at how little they weigh--just under 1 lb. 10oz. Great for keeping a carry-on under the weight limit.

If you have a medium to high arch, you'll want to replace the insole with a more supportive one. I use these Spenco Full-length arch cushions; they are inexpensive and work very well: http://www.amazon.com/Spenco-Cushion-Length-Insoles-M10-11-5/dp/B000KPMGYI/ref=sr_1_38?ie=UTF8&qid=1359509829&sr=8-38&keywords=insoles Spenco has others with varying types of cushion and levels of support and I find this style as supportive as those popular green Superfeet but with better cushioning. I have to use aftermarket insoles in all of my shoes as I've gotten to the point where the front ball of my left foot HURTs without proper arch support. Clarks' stock insole is decent and has a little extra padding right where I need it, but without my Spenco insoles, I feel like my feet are pronating inward noticeably in these, and that is not usually a problem I have with any shoes out of the box. They are perfect with the Spenco insole, though.

When you are a kid you had at least two footwear for women. One pair was your "good" one your mother referred to as your "dress shoes," even though the other pair was your "everyday" shoes, most likely of athletic nature. These shoes, specially engineered for sporting activities, got the generic name "jogging shoes," that's still considered a category that includes running, basketball and tennis footwear. Originally introduced within the sporting apparel, jogging shoes are now worn included in a casual look. Going for a walk, running throughout the shore, or playing outdoor games, are examples of the instances that men and women of all ages select to use them. But how did all begin and so why do more and more different types of running sneakers being produced?

It is a lot more than the supply and demand curve, nevertheless it all is dependant on that. Modern sneakers have beginnings in a variety of sports shoes. One ancestor is the expensive British upper-class footwear of the late 1800s, used by lawn tennis, cricket, croquet, at the beach. While in the turn of the twentieth century, football and baseball players wore fundamentally the same shoe type as before, the leather high-topped lace-ups with leather soles and cleats, the necessity to have footwear th
