I am a Clark's of England fan. I think with the exception of two pairs of shoes, every shoe I own is a Clarks. Perhaps 90% of those are sandals. But I'm leaving for a press trip on Saturday for NYC so I needed something warm and trendy and these fit the bill perfectly!Unlike most of Clark's Artisan series, these are sized like regular Clarks. Most Artisans are 1/2-1 full size larger meaning I have to buy a 9W, these are true to fit and almost a half-size smaller so a 10W just fits. I'll need to wear thin socks. The heel is not too high so it doesn't force my foot forward which is a plus.
The boots are a little stiff through the ankle so don't wear these out on a long walk on your first outing. Wear them in a bit to be sure your walk is pain-free. I wore them for about 20 minutes and realized I'd never make it all day in them so I ran back up to my hotel room and changed into tennis shoes for the day. Better comfy than stylish. I edited my review and dropped a star to reflect the comfort experience.
