I have been searching for a comfortable mule/clog style shoe. I found one about 5 years ago at Burlington Coat Factory, Nine West brand. I liked the ease of slipping it on but it was pretty flat. I recently noticed that they were coming apart so I started my search for another mule type of shoe. I went to BCF, Sears, and JCP. Closest thing I could find was a furry trimmed clog. By now, my expectations were low when I went to Macy's. I quickly spied this mule and asked to try on a 9 and a 9.5. They were out of 9's but the 9.5 fit and felt great. I wasn't even aware of the Clarks brand. I purchased these in black on sale for $58. As soon as I walked out of Macy's, I sat on a bench and put my old, falling apart Nine West mules in the bag. Slipped the new Clarks on and continued walking around the mall with a huge smile on my face. The love for these was immediate. No breaking in or having to get used to them. Also, they are very light but don't let that fool you. They feel very solid and comfortable. When I got home, I checked Amazon and sure enough-here they are and in MULTIPLE colors. Macy's only had black. So I purchased the dark brown ones for less than $40. I LOVE LOVE these! I teach Kindergarten and these Clarks are the only shoes I wear, not only to work but for everything.
