I bought these shoes in December and by the end of January they were falling apart. The base of this shoe is molded in hard plastic but there is a layer of soft plastic/rubber which is attached to the hard plastic along the entire bottom of the shoe. This makes the shoe have a nice cushion of support which is great for walking BUT WITHIN TWO MONTHS the soft plastic began to separate from the hard base (so far the entire heel section is separated). I took the shoes to a local shoe repair shop; the cobbler took one look at the shoes and said he couldn't fix them - that soft and hard plastic can only be attached together with extremely hot glue made with apparatus he didn't have and only factories have. He acted like he had seen this sort of issue before and was clearly angry that the shoes had been made this way.It's unfortunate because these shoes are otherwise great and extremely comfortable and I agree with the positive reviews posted here. But, word to the wise: don't buy these shoes and keep an eye out for other shoes with layers of hard plastic and soft plastic/rubber attached directly to each other.
