A couple of years ago I bought a pair of Privo Meridians* for an overseas trip and they were fantastic-- I walked for miles through museums and monuments and park trails and my feet never complained a bit. Privos are the most comfortable, versatile walking shoes I've ever had!The Haley Hawks took a little while to break in—at first they rubbed at the heel and on the sides-- but I just wore no-show “liner socks” until they loosened up a bit.
I love both my pairs of Privos because they're air-cushion comfortable and they look great with skirts. I've even gotten away with wearing them around the office. They're also light and breathe well, so my feet stay comfortable in summer.
I think these are every bit as comfortable as more expensive "dressy sneakers" like Merrells and Keens, but the lower price makes them a much better value.
*The Haley Hawk is very similar to the Meridian (which is also available on Amazon)-- the key differences are the materials (the Haley Hawk has patent leather accents) and the upper edge (the Haley Hawk has a curved upper edge around the ankle, whereas the Meridian has a smooth opening, like a ballet flat). The Haley Hawk is also a little more snug and the strap is fixed (not adjustable, as on the Meridian).
