I have owned a great pair of Clarks loafers for about 5 years. I decided to get a pair in a different color as they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I spent a fair amount of time looking at reviews and styles to pick the shoes I wanted. I am disappointed enough that I am going to return the shoes unworn. Why?Compared to my other Clark loafers, these are cheaply made and a poor fit. They are loose on my feet in spite of being the "correct size". I go for Clarks because they have half-sizes and used to make great shoes. I suppose if I had never owned a pair of Clarks loafers, I might be happy with these shoes. As it is, I am merely saddened to see how much their quality of manufacture has deteriorated. It makes me cautious about any online shoe purchase, as pictures alone do not convey quality of workmanship. What a shame for such a great brand to produce such a shoddy product.
