Very happy with these boots! I'm not made of $$, and I looked everywhere for an affordable pair of riding-style boots-- I found it in these. Even tho they're described as a 'motorcycle' boot, the look is under-stated enough that they can pass for an equestrian style boot as well, hence my 'cross-over' tag.The fit runs very true-- my normal boot size 9 fits perfectly, and tho they're not considered 'wide', they still accomodate a painful Tailor's bunion on one foot, and are still very comfortable. I have a 15" calf, and the fit is perfect with either tights or skinny jeans.
I love the oiled leather, too, which some describe as 'stiff- I describe it as good quality, durable, warm (I'm in the upper-midwest), and helps the boot hold its shape since I was not in the market for a slouch boot. The taupe shade is very neutral and versatile, too-- depending on what's worn with it, it can pass for either a light brown, or warm gray. The sole is thick and treaded enough for walking on snow, too, yet blends with the boot enough so as not to be *too* obviously practical. ;)
