I've been looking to buy new black flats for work. I've bought several other pairs (from other brands) that didn't quite meet my needs. I wanted something that fit well, is comfortable, stays put when I walk quickly, and wouldn't stink up easily. These Clark's flat are perfect for my needs.My shoe size range from 8 - 8.5, though most of the time size 8 is best. After reading reviews that recommended going up a size, I decided to go with 8.5 in Black. They fit perfectly.
How do they feel? I stand on my feet 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I learned that the only way I can stand that long without going home with achy feet are comfortable shoes. These flats have cushioning just where you need them. The first couple of days the raised, cushioned area irritated a spot on my feet, but now I have no issues with it. There's cushioning/ grip on the top back (achilles), which helps prevent the shoes from slipping on and off too easily, thus preventing scrapes on the back of your feet.
With my work flats I usually have trouble with it stinking up. Luckily, no problems so far, though I will be buying inserts just in case.
Overall, great shoes. No break in period needed. Light weight and sturdy, but not flimsy and stiff. Now I want to buy another one in Orange.
